The collection is 24/7 free available.
Launch Year: 2016
Artistic domain: Contemporary Visual Art and Photography

The objective of the MWH Collection is to support and exhibit up-and-coming artists and rising young talents in turn. The collection of art works that has arisen from various artistic propositions is above all the result of a growing awareness and sharing of new aesthetic pleasure in visual arts. Two permanent installations can also directly be seen from outside: Gloria Sulli’s sculptures in the back garden on Longford Street.

Artpolicy: The MWH does not use its collection for commercial purposes but, first of all, to make public spaces more pleasant. The collection also plays an informative and educational role, allowing Guests and employees of the MWH to learn about contemporary art in unexpected places. Finally, it helps the MWH to profile itself: art offers a way for the hotel to distinguish itself nationally and internationally.

History: The Melia White House Hotel was built in 1936 and was originally launched as The White House luxury apartments. The hotel’s building still preserves its architectural value as a prime example of late 1930s architecture. An eclectic style where contemporary design meets classic. The MWH hotel benefits from a prime central London location in a prestigious area in Regent’s Park within close proximity of London’s main attractions and The City, London’s financial district. Ideal venue and first choice for private collectors and art dealers during Frieze.
